Geoffrey Nelson founded CATCO, the Contemporary American Theatre Company in 1984 with Michael Harper, C. Joseph Hietter and Lori Robishaw.  Nelson served as Artistic Director from 1984 until 2010, producing over 200 plays including many regional and world premieres, American classics, thought-provoking new plays, musicals and comedies.  Under his direction, CATCO developed an extensive educational program aimed primarily at high school students, toured throughout Ohio and gained a reputation for a high level of professional acting.
